You would think that weather directly impacts how many poeple order delivery but it might surprise you that it doesnt really. Unless there is the "perfect storm" like combination of bad or good weather it seems that people order based more on personal conditions. It has to be cold rainy and night time or miday supper hot and humid to really make an impact. Usually a litle drizzle or a nice 75 degree day doesnt eafect ordering trends. What is however effected by rain or sun is how crazy people in Atlanta drive. In the rain it seems everyone is under the impression that their cars are in perceft condition and can preform like nascar racers, sadly just brakes and mieneke are not the pit crew at indy. On the rainy days you end up getting alot of near misses and close calls. Anyone in the perimiter and for that matter anyone who has to drive into the permiter knows exactly what The Dude means. Have you ever been late for work and rushing in the rain, thats what The Dude does all day long while zooming to get food to doors super fast. Its almost like Mario Cart or GTA except in this game your trying NOT to hit everybody who weaves in and out of your lane.
The same seems to hold true for the super heat of the atlanta summer. Its like the temperature starts slowing down the part of the brain that deals with reflex, reaction time and comon sense. Everyone has seen the convertable driver with the extra loud music singing (and or rapping) along, Pitch black sun shades on,drinking their frapa (whatever blend the have) and not looking at anything infront of them.In the summer The Dude and his band of merry dudes use scooters to get the food out and so you can imagine how the driver above would miss our litle 50cc scooters in their mirors (which aparently no one uses in weather above 75 degrees). We end up doing alot of hotrodesque stunts on those litle peace sports. Luckily the city of atlanta still allows scooters to hop on a sidewalk every now and again so we tend to navigate trafic like champions but still.... its a very interesting ride. Next summer we are definatley going to stream live video from the front of one of the scooters, it is heart stopping entertainment to say the least. Thanks goodness that
The Dude and Dude colleauges are some of the best drivers the city has ever seen and so we seemlesly slid through traffic regardless of sunshine or tsunami.
